Abstract
Telecommunication and Network services has three main parts called business plan, executive summary and 2005 action plan. The mission of the Telecommunication and Network Services department is to effectively deliver quality communication services.
Telecommunication network service is organized into 5 functional work groups providing the following services and functions. There are voice service, network service, video service, infrastructure service and business service.
Telecommunication and network service is staffed by approximately 40 full time technical and administrative staff and 10 part time students. Telecommunication and network service includes four financials. These are overall financial model and principals, capital funding, revenue sources and expenses. The telecommunication and network service action plan for 2005 identifies key projects, objectives and strategies. Following are key projects for 2005 are voice service key projects for 2005,video services key projects for FY05, infrastructure services key projects for FY05, network services key projects and finally business services key project for FY05.
Telecommunication and network service department is to effectively deliver quality communication services to our customers and fulfill our stewardship role for institutional communication resources. Telecommunication and network services is one of the five department within information technology services and is responsible for providing a wide range of voice, video and network services and the communications infrastructure necessary to support these services. Telecommunication and network services primary purpose is to provide these services in a reliable way with a level of quality that meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations.
